Thorn's Poetry
- Gift for the Body (Sort of an
anti-binge-drinking rant)
- BookWorm's Prance (Something I wrote for my own amusement long ago at Boy
Scout Camp, right after some people tried to insult me by calling me a
bookworm)
- Dark Side (You cannot outrun yourself; someone
took the original so this is all I can remember)
- Do Exit (Don't read this, you will never change anyway)
- Ghostly Songs (I guess this was about a
nightmare)
- Gemstone Dreams (One of my first ones,
patterned this one after a poem I read)
- Dragons (This was one of my first ones also)
- More (Sometimes you don't need a lot of words to express everything you
feel)
- Silence Bestows Upon The Beast (The problem is always much smaller when you start to solve it
rather than worry about it)
- Of Dreams (There always seems to be two parts
to me)
- Of Tales (unfinished)
- The Deck of Many Colors (What action will you
draw from the deck of many colors?)
- Quiet Storm (Inner turmoil)
- Some Reap (My Insult towards people who are
intelligent and not much else)
- Song of the Storm (not a poem,
just a few lines about how storms can be like music)
- Spells Light (A love poem, kinda)
- StarBoard Walls (I have no clue what I
meant, hopefully I will figure out someday)
- The Passing Wind (it seems great pain
can also end writer's block, my latest poem)
- The Path Ahead (I really have no clue
what I meant, I don't even remember writing it)
- The Word (A poem I wrote about a book, someone
took the original so this is all I remember)
- To Be (While I admit Shakespeare had talent, that
doesn't mean we should be sheep about it)
- Trampled (I don't have much of a clue when or why
I wrote this)
- Tranquil (Some of what I thought of when I looked
into someone's eyes)
- Truth (What calls to your attention and says
"hey look at me" isn't always what is really there)
- Unheard (Most of the times I have something
important to say and I find out I'm the only one interested)
- Unity (There are all different types of people,
religious fanatics, scientific fanatics, and all bring something to the table)
- Where Did the Day Go?
(Darkness told/asked me this one day)
- Who? (Yes, who?)
- Dungeon (Who the heck knows, I sure don't, one of
my earlier ones)
- DevilSpawn
- Faith
- Fever (Ever wonder why you try to accomplish what
you want?)
- Folly, Above Nature's Scale (Nature can be brutal,
but we can be worse)
- I Am
- Hope (I lost it, both the symbol (the poem on my old paddle) and the
feeling, but I'm not worried that much, I will find it again)
- Illusion (Maybe I wasn't such a happy kid after
all)
- Men's Fear (I read this and I think of this
reflecting my current situation much more than anything happening at the time,
as if I knew then....)
- Of Thy Own Nature
- Paradox
- Loving (A love poem but its not that sappy)
- Roam (my favorite of my earlier ones)
- Sands of Time (An hourglass told me this
long ago)
- The Sorrow's Worn (Sorrow and the feeling
of peace after its gone)
- Wandering Thoughts (I think this is
one of my earliest ones, I never knew what the reason was or what I was
talking about)
- MidSummer's Hail (Another poem about a
storm)
Thanks go out, btw, to my sister who in her own way has always been
supportive.
