Story Behind the Song
This was done sometime between when I left Atlanta and when I moved to Marietta. Some kid on irc with a nick like wrasslinjoe or something said he was going to make the coolest remix of Mary Had a Little Lamb. Being the competitive person I am occasionally, I challeged him to make the best one he could in 24 hours and everyone on the channel would judge if his was better than one I would make. Well, I did mine and never saw him again. It was mostly done with canned beats and stuff I pulled off my 505, and it was recorded live with no postproduction or anything. Straight wav file recorded with the silence on each end trimmed and then encoded to mp3. I did do a few takes and kept the 3rd or so. I didn't have the levels set quite right on the machine recording because it does distort a little funny, but oh well. It was severally half-assed (whole thing took a few hours). I even hit a "wrong" note in the melody towards the end.
This one is sloppy and messy, but I doubt I'll ever redo it.
